Athreya is recuperating in picturesque Kumarakom, among the backwaters and houseboats of Kerala. His fellow vacationers include a large family of Bollywood royalty – producers, directors and a film star – who want his help making a murder mystery film at that very resort.

But not all is as it seems with the family, as two of the sons are in deep financial trouble and are receiving threats from moneylenders with links to the mafia. Also in the family’s wake is a string of betrayals, broken promises and wronged women.

Butchery
When one of the family is found dead in the manner of their film plot, the family are distraught. Is this the work of an upset fan, or is it linked to one of the family’s many problems? Tensions rise as one by one, the family start to point the finger at one another.
